Quality Awards

In 1998, Matherly Mechanical Contractors, LLC was awarded the U.S. Army Corps of Engineer’s “Military Construction Contractor of the Year”; this is a national award that is only given once a year. Matherly Mechanical Contractors, LLC was the first mechanical contractor to receive this award, because this is normally awarded to general contracting firms. The award reads:

“Matherly Mechanical Contractors, LLC demonstrated exceptional performance in replacing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning utility support systems in the 110,000 S.F. corrosion control facility at Tinker Air Force Base, Oklahoma. Despite the projects inherent dangers, Matherly delivered the product on time, without any serious safety incidents, with minimal cost growth and without impact to the on-going production line. They achieved outstanding ratings in 29 of the 33 performance elements while employing small disadvantaged and women owned small business subcontractors on 28% of the work. Matherly’s performance on this project represents the highest standards for construction and customer satisfaction as established by the Corps of Engineers.”
